Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon claimed that Israel has monitored Hezbollah activity and this month it initiated Operation Northern Shield on its side of the blue line, the goal was and remains to neutralize the Hezbollah tunnels, of which four have been discovered.

Danon also described for the UNSC what an attack on Israeli towns on the northern border might look like, terrorists would kill elderly and children, cut off the access roads and hold five towns under siege. Danon claimed Hezbollah calls this kind attack plan against Israel, "conquering the Galilee."
