GAZA - Hamas forces exchanged gunfire on Tuesday with the suspected killers of a pro-Palestinian Italian activist during an operation to capture the fugitives, a security source said.

Members of the Hamas security forces had surrounded a building in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip in the operation to capture the al Qaida sympathizers believed to have killed Vittorio Arrigoni, found strangled on Friday.
