Goldin family calls bank transfer to Hamas moral bankruptcy

"The government of Israel has developed a new tool to strengthen Hamas terror in Gaza," said Leah and Simcha Goldin on Monday.

In a report published by Israel National News, the Goldins said that the Israeli government has been harshly criticized for transferring cash to Gaza. On Sunday, money was moved via direct bank transfer from the government to Hamas's bank account.

"This was done without demanding from Qatar a basic compensation for the return of soldiers and civilians held by Hamas and in blatant violation of Israeli law and international law," they said.

The Goldins are the parents of Lt. Hadar Goldin from the Givati Brigade, who was killed in Rafah during Operation Protective Edge in 2014. The 23-year-old's body was snatched by Hamas and has not been recovered since.
