Israel to reopen Kerem Shalom Crossing if Gaza calm lasts until Wednesday

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said Tuesday that if the relative calm along the Gaza border is maintained until Wednesday morning, the Kerem Shalom Crossing will reopen at 9:00 a.m. and the territory into which fishing boats are allowed will be expanded back to nine miles from the shore.
Liberman clarified that the decision is intended to signal to the population in Gaza that maintaining the peace is first and foremost a Gazan interest.
