Jewish leader Guiora Esrubilsky passes away at 66

Guiora Esrubilsky, the Argentinean head of the Maccabi World Union, passed away in Miami on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack. He was sixty six.
In addition to serving as the head of the international Jewish sporting organization, Esrubilsky was also elected as a Vice President of the World Jewish Congress in May and was a member of the board of the Latin American Jewish Congress.
"Giora was a great teammate and a great promoter of Jewish life. I'm sure his legacy will endure for many years,” Jack Terpins, President of the Latin American Jewish Congress said.
“Guira was a brilliant activist and community leader, he knew how to cultivate friends, and devoted himself, body and soul, to Jewish life. We hope that his example is an inspiration to young people and all those who yearn to work for the well-being of the community.”
