Man jumps fence into Syria with aim of confronting Assad

An Israeli citizen on Saturday jumped the border fence located in the Golan Heights and entered into Syria, Army Radio reported.

According to a preliminary investigation, the man, who is believed to have psychological problems, told others he intended to confront Bashar Assad and demand the Syrian president stop killing his people.

Details of the incident reportedly were conveyed to the IDF by UN forces stationed across the border.
