A 38-year-old male and a 40-year-old female were seriously injured after they were shot with an automatic weapon in Taibe Friday night.

The man, belonging to organized crime family Abbed Al-Kader, was shot while in his home garden with his family.

The woman was injured in the crossfire.

The attack, considered an assassination attempt by police, is suspected to be part of an ongoing war between two organized crime families, Al-Kader and Hariri.
