Mexico-US drug tunnel had railcar, tons of pot

SAN DIEGO— US authorities say more than 20 tons of marijuana has been seized in connection with a cross-border tunnel.
The tunnel was equipped with a rail car — the second discovery of a major underground drug passage in San Diego this month.
Mike Unzueta of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement says the passage ran 2,200 feet from a home's kitchen in Tijuana, Mexico, to two warehouses in San Diego.
Unzueta says the tunnel is believed to be the work of Mexico's Sinaloa cartel.
Three people were arrested in the United States and five in Mexico. Authorities seized nearly 14 tons of marijuana at a nearby Border Patrol checkpoint Thursday.
