Obama wishes Muslims happy Eid al-Adha holiday

US President Barack Obama wished the world's Muslims a happy Eid al-Adha on Monday, ahead of the religious holiday, AFP reported.

"Michelle and I extend our greetings for a happy Eid al-Adha to Muslims worldwide and wish safe travels to those performing hajj," Obama said in a statement.Obama added that the holiday serves as "a reminder of the shared values and the common roots of three of the world's major religions."
