Former prime minister Ehud Olmert on Thursday underwent a surgical procedure to remove a tumor from his prostate. The procedure was conducted in New York and was reportedly successful. Olmert was recovering with his family and is expected to spend the next couple of days in hospital. He will remain in New York in the coming weeks for observation.
