A one-year-old baby was struck by a vehicle and killed in the Beduin town of Rahat in the Negev on Thursday.

An initial police investigation into the incident found that a sewage pumping vehicle hit the child while backing up, seriously injuring him.The child's parents rushed him to a local clinic where he was pronounced dead.
