Palestinian Authority, Hamas regime in Gaza on high alert due to storm

The Palestinian Authority has deployed emergency crews to help stranded motorists extricate themselves from the anticipated snow likely to accumulate in the coming hours.
Emergency towing vehicles have been readied in Hebron for the eventual snow.
Meanwhile, Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip living near the coast have been evacuated from their homes due to fears of flooding, Israel Radio reported.
Gazans whose homes were destroyed during Operation Protective Edge said on Wednesday that they were forced to endure bitter cold.
According to Israel Radio, the locals were concerned that the temporary housing structures in which they have stayed since the war would not withstand the fierce storm.
In Rafah, authorities distributed blankets and warm clothing to residents. The Gazan interior ministry placed their emergency crews on high alert in anticipation of more inclement weather.
