Police arrest 23 Arab suspects in Jerusalem charged with terrorist activity

Following a recent spike in terror attacks, Jerusalem Police over the last 48 hours have arrested 23 Arab suspects from the east Jerusalem neighborhoods of Isawiya and Shuafat for a litany of charges, including terrorist activity, rioting, and possession of illegal weapons.
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said on Thursday that during multiple raids Police and Border Police units seized numerous guns, cartridges, drugs, and stolen property.
All 23 suspects have been arraigned at Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court where a judge ordered their remand. Rosenfeld said heightened security in the capital will continue, with an emphasis on the Old City and east Jerusalem.
