Police chief makes way to Carmel to oversea rescue efforts

Police Insp.-Gen. David Cohen on Thursday was making his way to the scene of a fire in the Carmel area where at least 40 people were feared dead and dozens more injured when a bus overturned after getting stuck in a huge fire in the Carmel area, Israel Radio reported.

Northern district police set up a mass casualty incident center near Kibbutz Bet Oren to help treat any people affected by the fire.
