Russia, Israel sign military cooperation pact

Defense Minister Ehud Barak signed a military cooperation pact with Russian Defense Minister Antoly Serdyukov in Moscow on Monday.

The Defense Ministry viewed Monday's agreement as a significant accomplishment for Israel's security.

"Russia is the a key and dominant world power and is very influential in the Middle East," said Barak.

The two leaders agreed to arrange another visit between them, in Russia or in Israel, for some time in the future.
