MOSCOW - Russia said on Thursday it would try to bring home former arms dealer Viktor Bout, who was found guilty in New York of agreeing to sell arms to people he thought were Colombian militants intent on attacking American soldiers.
"Our goal is to try succeed in bringing him to his motherland," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said in a statement. He did not say how Russia would carry this out.
