A 35-year-old Safed resident was remanded for seven days on Tuesday after he was arrested on suspicion of performing lewd acts on his five-year-old daughter.

The suspect, a divorcee, allegedly committed the acts over a period of two years, when his daughter was living with him.

The suspect was arrested after the girl complained to her mother.
