The grandfather of captive IDF soldier Gilad Schalit met with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, after a wait of several hours.

The meeting, which was scheduled to take place at the Prime Minister's Office but ended up being held at the Knesset, focused around efforts to reach a deal with Hamas for Gilad's release. After the meeting Tzvi Schalit told reporters that he was not optimistic, and was quoted as saying simply, "I'm exhausted."
