BELGRADE - Former Bosnian Serb general Ratko Mladic left on a flight to the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague on Tuesday after losing his appeal against extradition, Serbia's justice minister said on Tuesday.

The international court indicted Mladic 15 years ago for genocide in the 43-month siege of Sarajevo and massacre of 8,000 Muslims in Srebrenica during the 1992-95 Bosnian war.
