Shaked: Liberman made a mistake by resigning from Defense Ministry

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked in an interview to the Knesset TV channel said that Education Minister Naftali Bennett is the right person for the role of defense minister, and that she wasn't worried about Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Bennett getting along despite the bad blood between them.

"They have worked together for many years, they know how to work together," she said.

Asked about backtracking on the ultimatum they presented Netanyahu with, Shaked admitted that she and Bennett might have made mistakes along the way and that "sometimes you get what you want, sometimes not."

When pressed on Avigdor Liberman's resignation last week Shaked said that in her opinion Liberman made a mistake.

"You have to know how to deal with the difficulties. You have to know how to change the system. Politicians need to know how to fight for what they want."
