Shas spiritual advisor Rabbi Ovadia Yosef lashed out at the extremist religious Sikrikim group, which he said "discredits the Torah."

Rabbi Yosef chastised the group - named after the zealous Sicarii Jewish group that attacked Romans and Jews during the Roman conquest of Judea - saying they carried out blasphemous actions without considering the repercussions.

Rabbi Yosef warned against "dividing our brothers," adding "for acts of hatred our temple was destroyed, and only through free love will it be rebuilt."
