Suspect in Tzanani case, Michael Hazan, to be indicted

The Rishon Lezion Magistrate's court on Thursday extended the remand of Michael Hazan, one of the suspects arrested in connection with the "Margalit Affair", pending the filing of an indictment against him.
Tzanani herself is expected to appear in court in the next few hours, when it is likely that police will announce the prosecution's intention to indict the singer on charges of extortion.
Hazan is allegedly an agent of the Amir Mulner crime family, as is Ofer Amar, another suspect arrested in connection with the case.
Police suspect that Tzanani asked mobsters from the crime families to collect an unpaid debt from her manager, Assaf Atagadi.
The extension of Hazan's remand will allow state prosecutors to file an indictment against him and a request that he remain in detention for the duration of the trial.
