Thousands of supporters on Sunday accompanied Rabbi Yaakov Yosef down the Shmuel Hanavi Street in Jerusalem in a large protest over his arrest earlier in the day.

Yosef's son Amram told The Jerusalem Post that thousands of people are expected to protest the rabbi's detainment and “contempt for the dignity of Torah, which is publicly being trampled by police and the State Attorney's Office.”
