SAN'A, Yemen — Yemen has released the names of eight al-Qaida suspects and is offering nearly $100,000 for information on each of the men.

The Interior Ministry describes the suspects as "young men duped" by al-Qaida, according to a report Friday by the state Saba news agency.

It warns against providing the eight with shelter but gave no further details about them. One of the names is a previously known suspect.

Yemen periodically releases additions to its most-wanted al-Qaida list, which now has over 150 names.

Al-Qaida has stepped up its presence in Yemen — frequently launching brazen attacks on government troops and diplomats — and has proven to be a stubborn challenge for the country's weak central government.
