Phone companies hire more workers

In an effort to attract more customers, phone companies are increasing sales and service representatives, Ortal said.

In preparation for the start of the Communications Ministry's number portability program, fixed-line and cellular phone companies increased their requests for new workers by 66 percent in the third quarter and will increase new worker requests by some 50% over the fourth quarter, Ortal Manpower Services reported on Wednesday. In an effort to attract more customers, phone companies are increasing sales and service representatives, Ortal said.
