125,000 jobs shed as jobless recovery continues in US

American employers eliminated 125,000 jobs in June, as the jobless economic recovery continued in the US, according to the Washington Post.  The jobs figure is slightly more positive when taking into account that included in the count were 225,000 temporary jobs created by the US Census Bureau that came to an end in June.
The unemployment rate decreased in from 9.7 percent in May to 9.5 percent in June, but the drop seemed largely attributable to unemployed workers exiting the labor force, another negative development.
