Identities of over 30,000 Israeli students and teachers stolen in hack

A hacking group called The Benevolent Thief claimed that it had published the personal information of 30,000 Israeli teachers and students, including their full names, ID numbers, dates of birth, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses, the Foreign Affairs Ministry stated on Tuesday.

The records were reportedly stolen in a cyberattack targeting the Center for Educational Technology, which develops textbooks and technology used in the field of education.
