Basic Law for Immigration bill fails in Knesset vote

The Basic Law for Immigration bill, sponsored by Likud MK May Golan, has failed to pass in the Knesset on Wednesday, the Knesset spokesperson announced.
49 voted in favor of the immigration bill, while 61 voted against.
The Basic Law proposed was designed to serve as a permanent solution to prevent Palestinians and citizens from enemy states from obtaining citizenship.
