Court records US man in

Court records show a former US citizen charged in Spain with being an accessory to genocide was a guard at the Nazi's Mauthausen concentration camp. About 119,000 people were killed at Mauthausen, including political prisoners, Soviet, Dutch and Czech prisoners of war, and Jews. Johann Leprich lives in Macomb County's Clinton Township, near Detroit. A Spanish judge charged the 82-year-old Thursday. He's an ethnic German who was born in Romania. Records show he joined the Nazi's Waffen SS in 1943 and served as a guard at Mauthausen in Nazi-occupied Austria. Leprich immigrated to the US after World War II and became a US citizen. He was stripped of his citizenship after authorities learned of his Nazi past.
