Fatah, Hamas meeting to announce unity gov't PM postponed

A meeting at which Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal were expected to name the prime minister of the new Palestinian unity government has been postponed indefinitely, the Associated Press reported on Sunday.
The calling off of the Cairo meeting came as officials from both factions acknowledged ongoing differences over who should lead the reconciliation government.
Last week, Hamas representative Salah Bardaweel said that his faction had informed Fatah of its fierce opposition to the nomination of current Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
