Flag-destroying bill heads to final vote

Legislation increasing the penalty for destroying an Israeli flag was authorized for a final reading in the Knesset Interior Committee Monday. The bill by MK Nava Boker (Likud) states that anyone who does so can spend up to three years in prison or pay a fine of up to NIS 58,400. Previously, the fine was set at 300 Lirot.
