Gantz: IDF would follow any decision made by cabinet on prisoner release

IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz said on Sunday that the army would follow any decision made by the cabinet on the release of Palestinian prisoners, Israel Radio reported.

During a visit to the IDF's induction center, Gantz also commented on the state of security in Israel's borders, saying the relative quiet is "fragile" and that the IDF is ready on all fronts.

Despite that, Gantz stressed Israel has no interest to conduct a military operation in the north and that he hopes the quiet in that front continues.
