Golan Heights resident convicted in murder of his father

Heyal Abu Awad, a  57-year-old resident of the northern Golan Heights, was convicted in the Nazareth District Court on Sunday of the murder of his father, Fadallah Abu Awad, 82.
The prosecution argued that the younger Abu Awad killed in order to receive his inheritance. He was handed down a life sentence.
