Health Ministry website offers all mental health services

All mental-health services have been mapped and launched online by the Health Ministry, making it possible to search in one place for all the service providers – health funds, public and private hospitals and clinics – as well as information on waiting times for psychosocial and psychotherapeutic treatment.
“Psychiatric services here are expanding, especially since July 2015, with the beginning of the mental health reform in which the four health funds took over responsibility,” Dr. Tal Bergman Levy, who heads the ministry’s mental health division, said on Thursday.
“The ministry, together with the health insurers, have set a goal of bolstering the public mental health system and increasing the availability and accessibility of psychotherapy. To help make services available to all who need it, mental health clinics and centers in the community are listed for the first time on the website. This is another milestone in the long process of building a strong and high-quality public health care system,” she concluded.
