IDF officer sentenced for stealing equipment off 'Marmara'

The IDF Military Court on Monday sentenced an officer who was convicted of stealing computers and other equipment from the Mavi Marmara with five months in prison.

The officer, who holds the rank of first lieutenant and at the time was a squad commander, was found guilty of stealing between four and six laptops, two photographic lenses and a compass aboard the ship that was stopped by the Israeli Navy on May 31 as they tried breaking the Israeli-imposed sea blockade on the Gaza Strip.
