An Iraqi government spokesman said on Saturday that talks with Syria failed to resolve the dispute over Baghdad's claims that Saddam Hussein loyalists living there funded cross-border attacks. Thursday's talks between the two countries' foreign ministers were held in Ankara under Turkish mediation. Syria has refused to extradite two members of Saddam's outlawed Baath Party whom Iraq accuses of financing and planning Aug. 19 truck bombings outside the foreign and finance ministries in Baghdad. Around 100 people were killed in the attacks. Syria said that Iraq has not provided any proof.
