J'lem denies it agreed to attend nuclear-free MidEast forum

Jerusalem was neither invited nor agreed to participate in a forum to be composed of Arab countries and Israel for discussing the nuclear disarmament of the Middle East as was reported by the Associated Press , an official from the Prime Minister's Office told Israel Radio Wednesday.
According to the AP report, which was published Wednesday, IAEA chief Yukia Amano invited Israel to participate in the meetings in early September in order to bridge differences on the issue surrounding a nuclear-free Middle East.
A senior official familiar with the IAEA proposition said that it was possible that Arab countries, including Syria, would participate in the forum were Iran to reject the invitation, Israel Radio said.
