Judge frees US man in Saudi Arabia charity case

EUGENE, Oregon  — A man convicted in the US in an alleged plot to send thousands of dollars to Saudi Arabia is being freed from jail.
Pete Seda is being freed because his conviction was thrown into question.
Federal Judge Michael Hogan ruled Wednesday that Seda can be released while his lawyers argue that the conviction should be thrown out or that he get a new trial.
