Labor activists: 'Barak, leave the coalition!'

Groups within the Labor Party are demanding that party head and Defense Minister Ehud Barak leave the coalition if the budget passes on Thursday, saying that the bill goes against agreements between Barak and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Minister of Agriculture Shalom Simhon of the Labor Party refused to attend the budget meeting.
Labor Minister of Welfare Isaac Herzog warned that the government can not freeze unemployment funds, because it harms people who can barely afford to eat.
The budget meeting began at 10a.m. on Thursday, and was still underway over 12 hours later.
