New Gaza flotilla planned despite eased blockade

PARIS — A pro-Palestinian group based in Europe said Thursday it plans to send a second aid flotilla to Gaza despite Israel's promise to ease the blockade.
Rory Byrne, a spokesman for the European Campaign to End the Siege of Gaza, said his group and others have six ships and many activists who want to go to Gaza.
He said the ships should be ready to set sail within the next few weeks, but gave no departure date or itinerary.
Calling Israel's plans, announced Thursday, to ease the land blockade of Gaza "a sleight of hand," Byrne said his group wants to "keep the pressure up" on Israel to reopen Gaza's borders completely.
