Northwestern University BDS group narrowly passes divestment measure

Northwestern University's Associated student government narrowly passed a measure to divest from Israel on Thursday.
In the vote, 24 people voted in favor, 22 voted against and three people abstained.
The resolution urges the university to divest from Boeing, Caterpillar, Elbit Systems, Hewlett-Packard, G4s and Lockheed Martin, according to the school's paper The Daily Northwestern.
The resolution does not hold sway regarding actual university policy, however. Furthermore, it is unknown whether or not the university actually deals with the mentioned corporations, as the school does not release such information.
