Pilots refuse to undergo English proficiency tests

The Israeli Pilots Association has instructed its members to refuse to undergo English language proficiency tests conducted by an external agency.
In an announcement to the Tel Aviv stock exchange, Wednesday, El Al management stated that if the pilots don’t undergo the tests, as required by the Civil Aviation Authority and the International Civil Aviation Organization, they will lose their international flying licenses.
Until now the tests were conducted internally. If the pilots don’t undergo the testing by March 5th, El Al may be prevented from operating international flights.
