PM declines comment on Pollard in White House meeting

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu declined to answer questions over the weekend on whether he raised the fate of Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard in his meeting on Friday with US president Barack Obama.
A source in the prime minister's entourage said they also could not comment on what the American side said on the matter.
Ahead of the trip, Likud politicians pressured Netanyahu to push Obama for Pollard.
The Meretz Youth organization issued a statement on Sunday saying that Obama's call for the release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Schalit in his speech to AIPAC on Sunday would be more credible if he would set a personal example by releasing Pollard.
