PM: Iran must halt all uranium enrichment, stockpiling

Two days before six world powers sit down in Baghdad for talks with Iran, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu unequivocally declared that Israel would only be satisfied if Iran halted all uranium enrichment and shipped its stockpiles out of the country.
In addition - he added at a speech in Jerusalem to the Civil Services Commission - Tehran must close its underground nuclear facility at Qom. "This is the only way it will be possible to ensure that Iran does not get an atomic bomb," he said. "This is Israel's position. It has not changed, and it will not change."
His comments came even as the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amato held rare talks in Tehran on Monday. Amano, who was on his first trip to Iran since taking office in 2009 - a period marked by rising tension between the IAEA and Tehran - was also due to meet Iran's chief nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili and Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Monday. There was no word on the course of the talks by mid-afternoon.
