Report: Egypt says 'doors' to Gaza open to Turkish PM

Egypt welcomed Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to proceed through its border to enter the Gaza Strip, Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Kandil told Turkish daily Hurriyet in light of Erdogans's intended visit to the Gaza Strip in mid-May.
The Turkish premier has stated his interest in visiting the enclave after his meeting with US President Barack Obama on May 16.
“Our doors are going to be wide open for him of course,” Kandil told Hurriyet on Saturday.
“He [Erdogan] said he wants to come to Egypt and to go to Gaza. Of course, he’s going to have a very good experience because seeing things live is much different from watching or reading news pieces,” he was quoted as saying.
