Report: Omar Suleiman won't run for Egypt presidency

Head of Egyptian Intelligence Omar Suleiman will not run for the Egyptian presidency, Army Radio reported Thursday citing Egyptian Daily Al-Akhbar.
"Suleiman thanks his supporters and is pleased by the public's sympathy but is time is devoted to his family and not to political activities," a statement said effectively ending a decades-long career in Egyptian government, according to the report.
Suleiman, appointed as Egyptian vice president in the last weeks of the Husni Mubarak regime, made the historic announcement that Mubarak was resigning, capitulating to demands of week-long mass protests calling for his ouster.
