Scotland's parliament to hold emergency meeting on Lockerbie release

Scottish legislators are gathering for an emergency meeting on the government's decision to release the Lockerbie bomber. Lawmakers want to question Salmond's minority government - and some in the British media suggest a confidence vote is possible. The government of First Minister Alex Salmond has faced unrelenting criticism from the United States over the decision to free Abdel Baset Megrahi. The Libyan convicted of killing 270 people in the 1988 airline bombing was released last week because he is terminally ill with prostate cancer. He has returned to his native Libya. His release was met with outrage by families of the US victims. FBI director Robert Mueller has said Megrahi's release gives comfort to terrorists.
