Secretary: Zaken asked me to transcribe Olmert's phone calls

Former prime minister Ehud Olmert’s secretaries listened in on his phone calls and handed the transcripts to his then-bureau chief Shula Zaken, according to a former secretary who testified on Monday morning at a session of the former prime minister’s trial in Jerusalem.
Vered Ovadia said Zaken had sometimes asked the secretaries to transcribe certain conversations. Though the secretaries felt uncomfortable eavesdropping, they said they did as they were told for fear of dismissal.
Ovadia added that the secretaries had consulted Zaken on many matters relating to Olmert and had even asked her whether or not to transfer certain calls to him.
