Security forces still searching for rockets in Eilat region

Police and military officials continued their search Thursday for two rockets believed to have been fired at Eilat Wednesday night.
The searches began after local residents heard two large blasts and phoned the police's emergency number.
Meanwhile, an unknown group calling itself the Salafi Front in Sinai claimed it was behind the rocket fire, Walla reported on Thursday. Calling Eilat by its Arab name, Um Rashrash, the grup released a statement saying ti fired the projectiles.
On Wednesday night, search efforts ended after midnight, and were resumed on Thursday morning in areas bordering Eilat.
Police ground units searched through various parts of the city on Wednesday, and suspect that rockets landed in open areas. No injuries or damages werereported following the explosions.
