State: No danger of death for South Sudanese deportees

The Jerusalem District Attorney's Office filed the state's response to a petition against the deportation of South Sudanese citizens with the Jerusalem District Court on Wednesday. According to the response, the state came to the conclusion that South Sudanese citizens would not face danger of death or harm upon returning to their country, and therefore Israel can legally deport them.
The Jerusalem District Attorney's Office stated that the decision was made based on updated and comprehensive information provided by the Foreign Ministry.
In light of the information presented by the Foreign Ministry, the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office requested that the court reject the petition against deporting the South Sudanese citizens.
